Summary
Coursework counts for 25% of your final grade. It can make the difference between a really good grade and a miserable one, so do a good job of it.
You will produce 2 pieces of coursework. One from list A and one from list B1 or B2.

| You make a number of astronomical observations. These can be done with a telescope, binoculars, a camera or just with the naked eye. | You use graphs or computer skills to illustrate some aspect of astronomy. | You construct a simple astronomical instrument or a working model to illustrate a particular principle. |
| e.g. Observe and draw the phases of the Moon over a period of at least one lunar month. |
e.g. Construct a large star chart and use it to plot the path of at least one major planet using either your own observations or published data. |
e.g. Design, make and test a simple refracting telescope. |
