Objects in the Sky

A student makes the following observations. What do you think they are?

a) It was quite faint. It moved across the sky very quickly in a straight line. It was all over in less than a second.

b) It moved across the sky quite slowly. I saw flashes of red light.

c) I saw it in Gemimi and thought it was a bright star. It wasn't there a month later.

d) A tiny point of light. It appeared a pale blue colour.

e) I saw it just after sunset just sitting in the sky. It appeared to have a tail.

f) It moved across the sky slowly against the background of all the stars. After a few minutes it disappeared below the horizon.

g) I thought it was a cloud at first. It was very faint.

h) It was very bright. I saw it early in the morning when there were no other stars visible. A bright white point of light.
